The lakeside campus

I was very anxious and excited about starting class at the new lakeside campus, so i got up early on monday and was on my way to the campus by 7.30am, traffic heading towards the lakeside was terrible, even the motorbike lanes were blocked by cars, I reached the campus at 7.45 and was searching high and low for the class till hazman texted me the exact floor and how to get there. Went in the class and saw mr.winston trying to set up the projector for the slides, not much people were in class as they were still stuck in the jamm. As usual peeps who are late came in with the ''I'm sorry face' and a smile on their face, well luckily mr.winston was understanding enough not to mark them late.


So lecture ended around 9.30 and we all headed to the recezz canteen for refreshments, i was damm hungry and got myself a packet of nasi lemak and iced milo, the nasi lemak was okay for me and the milo was the most satisfying milo i ever drank in my entire life! it's so rich in flavor and it's only 1.80 a cup. But unfortunately for other food like chicken rice,nasi briyani,noodles etc is kinda expensive for canteen food. Plus according to hazman the noodles suck to the max and all he tasted was sweetness in it, well i think we wouldnt wanna fall for diabetes so soon aye?. The classrooms are much more comfortable compared to lcs, new tables and chairs plus the aircond is much more colder too, can still feel cold despite the glazing sun out there, I passed by then lecture theater and it looked good to have class in it, so spacious and the seats are so comfy.


I had a few assignments to do that day so I got home right after class to bathe and drive my car to the campus instead of riding under the hot sun plus i thought i might be lucky enough to find a nice parking, reached the campus and was searching high and low for a parking, there was no parking lot at all near the main block and the futsal court, was driving round and round till somebody got out from a lot, reversed the car in and took my laptop with me to the library to meet up with zoey and gang, we were basically talking instead of discussing, didnt did much and left for Asia cafe for pool, as i was pulling out my car keys from my pocket i had a glaze at my car and saw a thick black line near the fender, turned out to be somebody accidentally hit my car and left without saying bye, thanks la now i gotta pay myself to do touch-ups on it. I fetched zoey to AC and went home, i was so pissed looking at it and i told myself not to drive to the lakeside anymore. I mean come on how could you be so irresponsible? I guess you guys know how it feels right? i dont wish to exaggerate here but sighhhhh what to do, dont even know who did it.


So basically lakeside gave me a very bad and painful experience, to those readers who are reading this, do you guys feel that the security at the campus is rather bad? i see alot of other college students coming to our campus and walking around like it's their own campus. I thought outsiders are not allowed? all this problems need to be improved and i reckon that the management should be aware of what's happening, anyway i gotta continue on my css assignment now peeps. More update on lakeside soon aye. tata

The end of the hols

Just a blink of an eye and here comes sunday, quick huh? I just returned from ipoh on saturday and it feels to me like the holidays just started, ahhhh as we all know the holidays are never enough to satisfy. Unpacked and ironed some clothes just now and now im here blogging about the holidays, urgh! i seriously hate myself when i come to a pause during my blog entry, i just dont know how to write and spill it all out here. I've read a few blogs that belongs to some of my course mates, they seem to have the same problem too, well is it that hard to just type out whats on your mind?


I personally have no special talent in blogging or writing, since young my parents know that im the kind who doesn't like writing and doing essays or such that involves me putting in my own words, but for now since i've enrolled into mass communication, its high time i practice and start learning how to blog and give statements or whatsoever. So for the readers who are reading this blog please excuse me if i have vocab errors or i totally suck in blogging k?


Tomorrow's the day that we're gonna be back on track, cant wait for the new start at the lakeside campus, good luck for you guys who are driving there and have fun looking for parking, well for me i am riding my bike there and i assume there's definitely space for me to park my bike, hopefully it doesn't starts raining. shesh! been finding some sources and advertisements online for miss k's assignment and i haven't found the right one, feel like elaborating something on motorsports *grins
going to pyramid later to have dinner with my aunt and cousin, gotta do some shopping for the house too, this is one of the reasons i decided to come back a day earlier just to do some cleaning and sorting out for the house.


Anyway i've been eyeing the new HTC HD 2, they say its kinda fun and user friendly but unfortunately i think its a lil overpriced and i may not need sucha expensive/high end phone, most importantly it serves my needs right? and talking bout phones..........the other day i used the garmin gps that i installed on my n85 to help me find my way to the kompleks sukan negara to fetch a friend from ipoh, I was from sunway and i could have got there way faster if i used the kesas highway, but i was so stupid and i followed the gps directions, it took me through the putrajaya way and i approximately spent almost an hour trying to reach there, the sad part was i wasted at least 7 bucks toll! i could instead use to kesas way and just pay 2.20, here's a head's up for those who are new users, it's better to ask around first rather than just following the gps blindly.


Overall i felt that i've enjoyed myself during the holidays and at least i got back to my hometown to get together with the family, not forgetting my friends and classmates that i got together with few days ago, i felt good and warm, alright i think im gonna wrap this up and start getting on the notes, more updates coming next week aye peepo's. holidays!

Yeap as i mentioned in the previous post we're currently having holidays for a week due to the relocation to the new lakeside campus, im back in my hometown sitting in front of the computer for almost 3 hours surfing and jumping on websites, well holidays are fun but they get boring when you have nobody to spend with right? lucky enough for me at least i still have my cousins and some friends who are still here to spend some time with.

Arrived ipoh on a beautiful and cheerful sunday morning, left kl at 8 and reached around 10, just in time to catch breakfast with mum and dad at a local dim sum place, went home and unpacked all the dirty clothes for the washing machine to do its job after breakfast, when i was just about to take the car out mum and dad said they're going to aunt's place for mahjongg session and asked whether do i want to follow, as always i just shoke my head with a smile and said no thanks cause i know i'll end up sitting on the couch watching tv till they stop which is dinner time.


I called up some ex classmates and watched a movie together, had you heard of this new singapore movie by jack neo tittled ''being human' ? well for those who have already watched this movie, i think you'll probably be laughing your ass off in the cinema right? well here's a little review that i'll like to make about the movie.

Generally, Being Human the movie actually talks about human conscience. The right and wrong actions in life...Will you think before you proceed to your next step? If yes, congrats to you, If its a no, you might be in trouble in the movie, Max (Mark Lee) open his own company after being sack by his previous company boss. Well, he is trying very hard to fight over his rival company by promoting his own slimming center. In fact, Because of this, he decided to purchase supplies from a counterfeit brand dealing with slimming pills.


NoNo act as a part of Max's Conscience,whenever Max was about to do the wrong actions (ideas), max's conscience will pop out and save max actions. Unfortunately Max's Conscience and Max fail, in fact things were getting very ugly and as the story goes by there was many accident's happened, but yet something make max realize his conscience. Being Human is not as easy as you think. Overall, this movie was funny, meaningful and inspiring. Its a reality movie whereby everyone should learn. In real life we might face our opponent but there's many way to solve it. The keywords are Not only one way...Simple is the best! i personally think that this could inspire and teach people to think wisely, always think before you act as we may not know whether would our words hurt others. Actions speak louder than words and people do judge you by the way you speak and present yourself. So guys if you do have the time do hit the cinema for this movie k? for those who are visiting the night market er er *pandai pandai lah. *giggles

I was bragging about how troublesome it is to not have a laptop to carry around to dad for the past 3 months, and after much anticipation dad finally got me a asus A426 with a 1gb graphic card. The cool part is it has this face log on system that enables you to log in to the computer using your face. At least better than those thumb login which is so common right now. Do forgive me if im a little bit over the top okay? :) i think you should know how it feels when you wait and wait for something you want so long and it's finally in your hands right now, going back to kl on saturday and starting the assignments bonding time real soon. SIGH

3rd week of college

its been the third week since the first day i stepped into taylors university college, currently having break due to the relocation to the new campus(as mention at previous post), seriously this is real last minute and i dont know what to blog about and always end up staring at the lcd.

Okay here it goes, being in mass communication is all about communicating,journalism,public relation and broadcasting, i chose this because im the type of person who like to be around people, do discussions public relations and anything that relates to media. I listen to hitz.fm every morning and i personally feel that the morning crew jj and ian its really the kind of thing that you wanna listen and have a good laugh in the morning, i hope that one day i could hold the position too and cheer up malaysian's with a good laugh. Broadcasting is fun but it really needs big time communicating skills and if you're a radio dj you wouldn't wanna end up saying the wrong thing right? i was previously stuck in between mass comm and business admin, i thought that if i took businees admin i would have a wider field in selecting my career in time to come, but when i compared i realised that there's alot of calculation and managing to be done in business, im not the kind of person who can sit down and get my hands on papers, i really do prefer meeting people and be the one running the show rather than being backstage.

Alot of my friends say that mass communication is easy and does not require any high qualification, well that is bullshit as we too have assignments and projects to do and there's nothing called easy in this world and we all know everything requires effort,i like mr winston's class alot, he always relates his topics to cool stuffs such as star wars and i remembered he talked about twilight and new moon the other day in class, fun lecturer seriously, will never get bored if he's in class. *laughs

Will be situated at the lakeside campus starting from next week, i really do hope i'll find a place to park my car *fingers crossed, there was a starbucks van over there at first, due to the complains from parents saying students spending too much money they are not brewing there anymore, what a big sigh right? and looking at the brighter note you cant smoke in the campus as they wanna make it a smoking free campus, good right? at least not so much students would die of lung cancer and have the big smoky smell when they attend lectures, the food is expensive compared to leisure commerce square and i cant have my favorite nasi lemak bungkus anymore :( if anyone of you have tasted the nasi lemak and teh tarik at m cafe leisure commerce square i bet one is never enough!

Moving on to assignments, urgh i really dont feel like touching them laziness is striking me hard at this moment, but never the less i'll still finish it on time, i wouldn't wanna be having bad grades and end up failing them causing my parents to dug up their dough for me again just to retake, gonna be back to my home town ipoh to meet up with the family during this week's break, updates coming soon aye. good night people

A new beginning

hello you readers out there! this is my very first post for this blog, so i'll do a simple introduction aye? im daniel and im 18 this year, currently studying at taylors college kuala lumpur doing diploma in mass communication originated from ipoh which is very famous for our very own bean sprout chicken(taugeh ayam) im a 70% chinese and a 30% portugese so my skin tone is a little bit on the dark side , been kinda messy for this month, havent even got the time to get myself a lappie......urgh. As you all know lately taylor's came up with their new gigantic lakeside campus at sunway area right, well as for the school of communication, we're still stuck at the leisure commerce square building and will be moving the following week to the lakeside campus, according to seniors and friends it seems that the lakeside campus are encountering parking problems, alot of students and lecturers cant seem to find a place to slot their car in, to be honest i expected things like this will happen for a institution which is flooded with people, but looking at the design and facilities it really feels very sleek and futuristic, an all in one campus with mini mall,recreation facilities, hostel for boarding students and so on, sounds good right? :) I registered and reported myself a week late due to some reasons, skipped orientation and missed the chance to have some bonding sessions with my course mates and lecturers. I was rather lost and very confused the first day when i stepped into leisure commerce square looking for the programme office to get my timetable and student kit, had no sense of direction at all, asked a few students and luckily they were helpful enough to show me the way, got my timetable and headed to class, i went in and saw this bald guy(alex) with his macbook in class, he introduced himself and said he's late and he's now catching the next class which is miss karmini's class, the class from 8-10 came in and practically all of them are very friendly, got to know a bunch of them and we talked/shared information about ourselves, so right after miss karmini's class alex the bald dude showed me around and briefed me about what i missed, we went to the i.t lab and he helped me to create then log in to my student id, if it wasnt for alex showing me around i think i probally went straight home regardless of what i've missed. Here's a shout out to alex if you're reading this, i really appreciate your help and thanks alot for the pendrive you borrowed me containing all the printouts and documents i need. Thanks man. Class was good today mr.winston explained and discussed about management skills with us and so did he reminded us to keep our blog updated haha, went home straight after class dismissal today and slept during the noon, flipped through the notes and printouts before updating this, it's great being in class and especially when im around my course mates, alright gotta go now for late dinner * pats on head, need to be in bed before twelve to land my ass at class sharp at 8! nightey........
