The red birds

Since the day i started watching football with my cousins at home till today watching it with college mates and friends at the mamak stall, i still have no doubts that Im a strong supporter of liverpool fc, many say that liverpool players cant play for shit and only gerrad and torres are the one's who matters in the game, some even say that liverpool should change their name to liverfool's cause they keep losing every season. Well as for my opinion what matters the most is how the team play and as long as they stay in the season and try their best its good enough already, i basically like all the players in the club except for lucas, wouldn't wanna exaggerate about him anyway, he should seriously go over to MAN U if you know what i mean. *shakes head so I'll give a little introduction about the club below okay.

Liverpool Football Club is a professional football club based in Liverpool, England which plays in the Premier League and is one of the most successful in the history of English football, winning more trophies than any other English club. Liverpool has won a joint-record eighteen league titles, seven FA Cups, seven League Cups, three UEFA Cups and five European Cups, an English record. The club was founded in 1892 and won five league championships between 1900 and 1947.However, Liverpool spent several years in the Second Division during the late 1950s, and did not win promotion again until the appointment of Bill Shankly as manager in 1959. The club traditionally played in red and white, but this was changed to all red in the 1960s.Under Shankly's management, Liverpool won three League Championship titles, two FA Cups and a UEFA Cup, the club's first European trophy. In the past 30 years, they have been one of the most successful clubs in English and European football; they won four European Cups between 1977 and 1984 and a fifth in 2005. Not forgetting Liverpool F.C. has played at Anfield since its formation, but plans to move to a new stadium in Stanley Park, which was supposed to be completed by 2011 but has been put on hold until economic conditions improve. Liverpool has a large fan base which holds long-standing rivalries with several clubs. The most notable of these rivalry would be Ahem* the red devils, everton and arsenal. Manchester united may have all the good players and call themself the best among all, so what? they played with liverpool and lost 4-1 the previous season shame on you man u supporters, and to be honest, do you guys think that alot of people support manchester is just because of their popularity?

I myself strongly agree with football fans out there saying that liverpool football club is starting to turn in to a joke after their losses this season, we may not play well this season, but there's still much more season's and league's to go right? anyway liverpool had changed their previous carlsberg logo jersey to their new sponsor company logo standard chartered. I'll include some pictures of the stadium and the new jersey later aye? I'll include some news that i sourced from the web later to let you guys know more about what's happening in the latest season aye?.
Everybody has their own favourite player in the club and as for me my favourite player in liverpool fc would be steven gerrad, being the most experienced player and captain in the team gerrard never fails to play like a champ and definitely can cope well with all the other players in the team. I even bought his jersey and wear it every single time he plays, now this is what i call a die hard fan *giggles. Alright here's the news and i hope you enjoyed what you read peeps!

Liverpool’s season is going from bad to worse and after losing to rock bottom Portsmouth, the Reds are sitting big eight points adrift of the top 4 place. Two weeks ago, I have written about how this team need a major rebuilding and that is becoming evident by the minute. The only way for Rafa Benitez to save this season is by signing new players in January and these are the positions that need to be severely strengthened in the following transfer window.

Even though some of you probably won’t agree with me, I see Emiliano Insua as the weak link in the otherwise not so bad back line. The Argentine played almost every game this season but I am convinced he doesn’t have the qualities to play at the highest level. His positioning is questionable and when we add the lack of height to the mix, this becomes a real problem. He doesn’t offer us a lot of options when going forward and his passes are constantly going backwards, which slows the team down a great deal.

In my opinion, Gareth Bale would be a great option on the left hand side since the boy has a lot of potential and I really cannot believe he is just a fringe player at Tottenham. Harry Redknapp obviously prefers Benoit Assou-Ekotto and he would probably be willing to listen to offers for the Welshman. Bale is one of the most attacking full-backs you will find and is also a big danger from set-pieces, and I certainly believe he would be an instant hit at Anfield.
